Air Force 1 arrival?

Post by Canary girl » Thu Sep 15, 2022 8:43 am

Are there any heads ups as to where/when Air Force 1 will land for the Queens funeral. I'm hoping RAF Mildenhall.

Will it not be Sunday, departing from Washington on Saturday and usually a overnight flight.

Well it won't, because if you look at its history on ADSB it's been nowhere near MCAS Quantico.

One helicopter into Northolt as a backup is probably all we'll see.

I believe the 2 C-17s into Mildenhall today were rumoured originally for Stansted, read into that what you will.

Stansted had a pair of C-17s ahead of the visit last summer and AF1 didn’t go in there at any point.

Sorry for not following that particular aircraft/flight….was only going by what I was texted in a message! I don’t have all day to sit watching Adsb, like some seem to have!!

Yes, I’m also retired, but I still don’t have all day to devote to aircraft etc, even though I’d love to!
