Wow! Hold the front page everyone. From the 'Express':

'Huge RAF plane that can carry 116 troops spotted flying low over Cornwall'

Samantha Jarman told Cornwall Live: "It nearly blew out the flames on our barbecue."

There isn't one. Just more pathetic over-sensationalism by brainless ones.

To be fair, they’re coping a story from ‘Cornwall Live’ our latest aircraft tracking system down here, today, we have ‘Another huge RAF plane circles for ages over Cornwall’ Stunning reporting, it was actually doing circuits at Newquay. Do you think reporters realise that aircraft have to get low to land?

Martin Hore, who spotted the plane, commented: "There were two magpies on a cable outside our house. They crouched right down and watched the plane go over the first time then stood back once it want away."

It makes you wonder what these people - and magpies(!) - are going to do when Virgin Orbit starts flying out of Newquay later this summer!

Similar to the reaction from Glasgow and SW Scotland when the USAF had a night radar exercise a couple of months ago.

Best line I saw recently in one of these gutter press articles was about a plane appearing to float. Yes that’s called flight, Gloucesterlive reader!

You guys have no idea what it's like down here, the week we moved in the headline on the front of the local paper was 'Man convicted of having sex with horse'. Just today on the BBC we have 'man drives wife to A&E' and 'swooping seagulls keep attacking me'.
Whilst Devon live today gives us 'UK train lovers flock to Devon town with no railway line' and 'broken down lorry causes traffic chaos'.
An A400M massive cargo plane wooshing around our skies is big news.

Anyone in need of a laugh/wince with some time to kill, google ‘big aircraft spotted’ and you’ll get the finest of gutter press and their reportage.

Huge excitement!!. An A 400 passed me last night on the low level route near Bury St. Edmunds!!!. I couldn't really believe what I was seeing, but then I realised it was flying on a low level route near Bury St. Edmunds, so I didn't report it to the local paper..!! :D

I photographed the Platinum Jubilee Fly-past from Waterloo Bridge. Very amused to hear a woman behind me excitedly declare " oooh 3 more Lancaster's " as Omen flight of 3 Hercs hove into view. The P8 and RC135 confidently identified as "big bombers ". I was once asked at the 'Heath by Jerry ( DIRE ) Dyer if there were only US F15s there. He was expecting RAF F15s because it was after all RAF Lakenheath. Yes I've heard some real old pony from so called aviation enthusiasts as well. :'( :'(

Just spotted this quality article. STOP PRESS, MC-130J spotted at Mildenhall!

https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/16316 ... er-england
The Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules was seen flying from the east of England and down over London on Monday morning. It is understood to be worth roughly $61million. This equates to around £50million.

The US plane took off from the RAF Mildenhall station shortly after 9am.
This is located in Suffolk and, despite its status as an RAF base, primarily supports US Air Force operations.

It was used for operational combat missions by Bomber Command during the Second World II, until 1945.

RAF Mildenhall has been a key station for the US since the 1950s.
