Another type that's been around for decades will be gone soon.

Replacing the 17+7 Gazelles by only 5 H135!?

I think the article is meaning that the original order for 8 is now supplemented by a further 5, so 13 in all. Not quite such a dramatic reduction.

Possibly the reduced number is as a result to us pulling out of the Canadian training area (BATUS)!

Just five H135s to service the Northern Ireland mission.

Will these be service owned and operated, or leased as the ones at Shawbury (?) are?

My understanding is they will be owned and operated by MoD, presumably by AAC.

At Donauworth Germany recently at least 3 Junos have been noticed in production phases. Oddly they are in the black yellow colour scheme.
Will the DHFS get additional aircraft or are these the aircraft for the AAC in a 'civil like' scheme?
Anyone?

Are they Junos? I wonder if NPAS are replacing some of their oldest EC135s.

Junos have cable cutters and different antenna configuration than NPAS fleet. All at Donauwörth seem to be Junos.

NPAS have no money so not at this juncture but there is an ongoing requirement for new airframes so bud has gone out.

Cheers

R, T and V are all in DHFS-style black and yellow. I've not seen any photos of S and U as yet.

Not sure these are the AAC order..!
