Re: Req. Davis Monthan B1's RTS dates.
86-0100 went into storage 26/9/12. Reports suggest that of the 17 that just got withdrawn from service, 1 is for Barksdale Museum, 1 is at Tinker for instructional use, 1 went for digital research (whatever that means) in NIAR Wichita and 1 is for Edwards to be used for ground testing. 13 are at DM and of those only 4 are in type 2000 storage which I think means preserved/recoverable. The remaining 9 are type 4000 storage to be used for spare parts before scrapping. Not sure yet which ones are which but the type 4000 airframes are most likely 9 of 85-0066, 85-0074, 85-0077, 85-0081, 85-0083, 85-0087, 85-0090, 86-0093, 86-0115, 86-0118, 86-0123, 86-0132, 86-0133.
Re: Req. Davis Monthan B1's RTS dates.
OK thanks for that.
Did DM overflight 13/10/10 with 3 other people so I'll get them to check about 86-0100.
Subsequent ground visits 26/10/13 plus 05/02/20 but the trouble with the two later ones i was on my own so ended up concentrating on the transports and P3's.
Also the B1 row is rather well hidden deep into East Irvington Road and bouncing along that sandy track trying to pole, log and drive isn't easy!

Re: Req. Davis Monthan B1's RTS dates.
Hi Mike
Checking my photos from 13/10/10 show 16 B1 in main storage areas as expected. Just two more elsewhere one of which I read as 86-0130. There is a photo on Flickr of 86-0130 and 86-0126 together, photo undated but nearby F15s arrived 8/10 and 9/10. Looks like 86-0130 only rts briefly as it returned for storage 9/12. My photos from 10/13 just show the 18 expected B1 together in main storage area. None visible elsewhere.

Went on 13 Oct 2009. None of the above were logged that day.adderman wrote: ↑Sat Oct 09, 2021 8:45 pmHI All.

I do have logs of the B1s that were there. Some were clearly used for spares but some were undergoing work or short term store. Let me know if interested.
Regards
Andrew
