STRIX flights

Post by reheat » Tue Aug 10, 2021 10:29 pm

Quick question. Why is it that probably 90% or more of STRIX flights out of Mildenhall, both day and night, appear to see them operate in AARA 8 and then take the almost same route to and from the Lake District. Why do they rarely go elsewhere in the U.K.? Surely there is more training areas for them over here.
Regards,

Steve.

They often use Sculthorpe and STANTA for para dropping.

Destinations for vary with these things, admittedly they don’t seem to be very common in Scotland but they visit LFA7 fairly often. During one week in the loop, I bagged 3 different commandos over 3 days.
