Does anyone remember the F15 at Farnborough in 1972 in its air superiority blue scheme. It was my first show and pre camera days. I am trying to find the serial of this aircraft to build a model. Anyone have any details? Thankyou.

It couldn’t have been 1972, as I think the first visit was by 71-0291 in 1974 in a White/Red/Blue scheme

71-0291 was the YF-15A that first visited the show in 1974, in an air superiority scheme.

It was subsequently re-painted to the Centennial livery and displayed at the 1976 show.

It was the TF-15A prototype when two seat variants were given the T designator ahead of the type, later renamed as the F-15B.
Also appeared there in 1980 wearing lizard scheme, ahead of the Strike Eagle pitch.

I have this scanned picture from my slide of it flying at the 1974 show.
