Drone

Post by the concerned » Tue Mar 23, 2021 10:17 am

Is there someone on here who knows a bit about drones. I was thinking about the protests in the UK last weekend and was wondering would it be possible to deploy a drone or several equipped with a spray system. What it would do is spray permanent dye onto rioters allowing police to identify trouble makers and arrest them when they try to go home.

But it would spray everyone , and the majority of people at a protest are there to protest only a few there to cause trouble, you could say it would be literally "taring everyone with the same brush"

In current times anyone being there is breaking the law.

Not quite - police, ambulance service, journalists, anyone undertaking essential activity, etc, etc..

Shouldn't this thread be in General Chat?

I think everyone knows that we're talking about the protesters here, and not essential services that were only there because of the idiotic selfish brigade.

the short answer is no - unlikely to work correctly. Can you imagine the liquid carrying capacity of a drone agile enough to work in inner city streets.

Once upon a time we had some water cannons, bought, then unused then sold on.

So, in short, a total non-starter.
