Overflown by 2 fighter jets

Post by alan_bowling » Wed Feb 17, 2021 1:45 pm

My house in Grantham was overflown by 2 very low flying delta wing aircraft with single large jet exhaust. Very smokey without reheat as well. Any visiting air forces here at the moment? Only managed to glimpse them as obviously not expecting fly past. Don't think they were F35's as didn't see twin tails. About 1.30pm.

Will Alan be able to see the other thread as this is his 1st post or has that rule been removed?

That's a good point, he won't be able to see the Heads-up/OTT section until he has posted 5 times on the forum, but the link goes to the NOTAM section which he 'should' have access to.

Alan, the Typhoons were doing a flypast over Grantham Crematorium for a military funeral.

The link is to the NOTAM section so he should be able to see.

An interesting design. How does that work? ;)

There's no "go-round" in a glider.

Mirage III, 2000 and Draken have been going it for longer than I care to remember...

I think C24 is trying very poorly to poke fun at Alan's post by asking how 2 aircraft could possibly share one exhaust between them.

Sigh.............................................

Thanks all, makes sense about flypast at Grantham Crematorium as that would have exactly lined up with the flightpath.

It takes lots of training to maintain such a poor standard of humour Mike.

Well spotted Alan. Gets those posts in soon ;)
