Spitfire, Suffolk

12.15 today a Spitfire flew fairly low and fast across the A143 at Ixworth Suffolk, anyone any idea where he was bound please ?

Spitfires are pretty common in this area at the moment. Duxford based almost certainly. In my location [Chedburgh] near Bury St Edmunds, I see at least four a week, usually the 2-seaters giving rides, but the other day it was the blue PR one. Ixworth is only ten minutes from Duxford in a Spitfire.

Thank you raptor9, it was indeed a blue PR one, someone suggested that it may be the NHS celebratory flight by Mr Romain from Duxford.

The NHS Spit took off from Duxford at 11 yesterday on a tour of hospitals in East Anglia and Dorset.
