Im sure its been said before but i cant believe how many people are moaning about this aircraft being painted when all people moan about on this site and many others is that aircraft are too boring and need more colour. Everyone moaned about the RAF 100 and the lack of colour yet now they paint the biggest aircraft in the RAF and people still moan.

If that is the scheme, then I sincerely hope that someone takes the command decision to change the ‘UNITED KINGDOM’ titles to ‘ROYAL AIR FORCE’, or at least change the font colour to Blue. Also reposition the roundel so it dissects the Blue cheatline.

The “ UNITED KINGDOM “ shown perhaps gives the lie to the accuracy of the rumour. Or is it true and added more in hope than expectation?
Northern Ireland is about to be either absorbed into the south or severed from the rest of us when we finally split from Europe; Scotland is planning to move the border south after separation and Offa’s Dyke might be raised higher.

It is a done deal. Any colour is better than none as stated above. Send it to ‘dry out’ doing circuits at Cottesmore. But please give notice as I missed the Typhoon yesterday! :(

Agreed, that roundel looks well out of place and needs to be bigger. That scheme looks like an ad agency's attempt at selling UK Plc rather than a military aircraft with a bit of status. Other countries seem to manage to do that. But there again as said above, until it rolls out the paint shop we don't really know do we?
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

Unfortunately I think United Kingdom will be chosen over Royal Air Force purely on the basis of “national identity”.

Also makes the aircraft less overtly military and is in keeping with other nation’s efforts.

I think it looks alright. I wish they'd done something more creative with the engine nacelles though.

Is there a RAF roundel on it?
