No F15s overhead so far, yesterday or today. Two low C130s last evening.
Lakenheath are not flying hence no F-15s. Very quiet at home in Brandon. Understandable of course but unusually so. All rather surreal at the moment. Just heard an RAF C-17 go over heading to Mildenhall but missed it!
Some reason they aren’t flying at the moment, as there are no plans according the the 48th Fighter Wing Commander to cancel the flying.

Might have to wait until Tomorrow or Friday for anything out of there.

Sorry Tom but can only recall seeing a post on the forum saying all local flying suspended. There was a reported COVID-19 case in Lakenheath an one on Mildenhall but whether that us relevant or not I don't know. A C-17 left LN this morning and some ML stuff is flying as noted in other threads. Time will tell...

An extremely high ( for here anyway ) CV22 Osprey late morning overhead in cloudless sky. Heard it but needed my binoculars to see it. Later on a C130 Hercules low and slow SW towards Fakenham.

Brize still seems to be regularly flying. I live under the flightpath a few miles to the SW and have C-17s, A400s, Hercs and Voyagers going over on and off all day and night still.

Being operational I can't imagine they'd stop. Perhaps reduce training flights but the rest will continue.

Quite so! I saw this 'TomTwin' post yesterday but wasn't really bored enough yet to comment then! Today I am bored, It was post # 2 of this very Topic/Thread by....TomTwin. Then retracted & linked further down to the Official Statement
"Time will tell..." indeed. Personally it doesn't matter to me what, if any flying is happening. It will be some time before we get to go see 'em. Watching stuff on virtual radar doesn't really stimulate my juices! :O

Boscombe Down has had a few movements today. G-ETPE and what sounds like one of the PC-21's have been out and about.

RAF Valley

FJT is going to continue - albeit reduced - to meet OCU slots and maintain QFI currency. Lots of work going on to enable this to happen safely and within the CV19 guidelines.

Will Lakenheath be closing, or is there not any sings of that yet?

As per the recent assessments of bases/facilities, Lakenheath will not be closing for a few years yet! ;) There was a recent advisory of 'reduced flying operations' due to possible personnel availability & that appears to be the case. There are F-15 missions airborne at this time & details are always available in the 'UK Heads Up, Movements & OTT' Section to which your Post-count now allows access. Please see ..viewtopic.php?f=8&t=187789 for Monday 06 April. HTH. :thumb:
