Thanks for the info
Never been to Geilenkirchen ETNG, what's it like to spot at?
GK is good on both sides for landing, but as we all know a helicopter does not need a runway, so let's say complicated.
Platform is far away, so reading numbers on Army choppers is impossible, well perhaps on the CH47F's.

Thanks - depression setting in!

Can't see why they would only go as far at geilenkerchen ( ETNG so much easier!) When they will still have quite away to the docks?

Well like i said, it's only a rumour. Nothing sure yet. So Eindhoven is still very well possible. Little upto no information is known in advance.

Why don’t you go down to Illesheim/Ansbach next weekend & return via Zeebrugge, to get as many as possible in one trip

Hopefully you have good optics

A message from Eindhoven Airbase to the local population confirms Eindhoven is the place to be. One National 757 arrived at Eindhoven today, might be connected.

Today an Atlas Air 747 arrived at Eindhoven from Ft Hood. Another load of support personnel probably. So return of the 1st CAB looks imminent.

No helicopters arrived yesterday. Looking at adsb, the first ones are on the move now, so should arrive at Eindhoven later today.

Unfortunately, weather sucks, multiple choppers diverted, and some returned to Ansbach.

At the moment 2 Chinooks, 3 Black Hawk and 4 Apaches have arrived at Eindhoven. Two more groups are on their way from Wiesbaden. So Slogen51, time to activate your QRA.

First 27 helicopters have arrived at Eindhoven. Parked on the western military apron as usual.

QRA activating - if you can call a P&O Ferry quick , Spirit of Britain

Hopefully some more will rotate through Eindhoven over the next couple of days.

Sorry for all the questions but just quickly
A) do they arrive over the approach end of the runway?
B) can you see the military ramp from outside?

Thanks

Mike, this was taken from the public multi-storey car park just down from the terminal building.

Park next to the road near P4 (don’t forget to pay, they are very active on giving tickets.) From the top-levels of P4 choppers are well visible, readable, and if they leave, nice pics can be made. As for arrivals, so far they used the approach.

Thanks can confirm the view from Multi storey P4 is ideal. I eventually arrived at 17:30 and could easily see 6 CH-47F, 12 AH-64 and 8 Blackhawks , although it was getting dark so may have mixed up the rotor heads but should have a better view tomorrow morning.

Many thanks again for the info
