Hardly a joking matter, and I have corrected the title. Belgium is the country and Belgian is the adjective. It happens to be my home country

Don't worry about it, at least the crew are "fine" but both are probably a few millimetres shorter, extremely sore and will be for a few days to come.

I would imagine he cut the parachute loose in case it dragged him into contact with anything conductive!

Having seen a picture in one of the dailies it's fortunate the guy didn't come down into U.K. grid-line; he would have bridged a circuit and his nine lives would be no more. Good rapid thinking if he did indeed cut his 'chute away!
