Morning all,
Please can I ask the collective here for thoughts on the best source for up to date military serial nos? I can't seem to find much online, although there appears to be some paper versions from Mach III - i'd appreciate any help, comments or direction.
Many thanks in advance

Good Morning
Crecy publishing Military Aircraft Markings by Howard J Curtis for £12 is worth a purchase is in its 40th Edition and is published in the Spring each year. A handy go to book (there are updates available online for owners of the book apparently) and with the days of fewer bases and aircraft pooling they tend not to move around to much. They cover all UK based aircraft (including RAF, USAFE, privately owned but military marked aircraft in the UK) most European air forces and others likely to visit UK. I have copies of all forty editions!!!
I have had Mach III in the past too, very in depth and accurate, but often found they had more info than I needed and with changes I was spending a lot every year/two years.
There are a lot of decent sites out there but no one place (that I have found).
https://www.aviation-links.co.uk/ is a collective of links to various different aviation websites with some type specific sites with all serials for types but also some dead links.
Hope this helps
Jakdaw

A rather handy resource for UK Military serials is :-
http://www.ukserials.com/
Scramble's military database is also handy for checking individual serials :-

Updates to the Military Aircraft Markings book can be found here :-
