RAF Lightning Firebirds ?

Post by Vulcan74 » Sun Feb 24, 2019 1:49 pm

Afternoon All

Anyone remember seeing the Lightning Firebirds of the 60's. I know they started in 63 but what year did they finish?

Saw them Biggin Hill BoB Display 1963. The previous year it had been the 74 Sqdn Lightning F.1s that did the honours.

I presume they used the callsign Firebirds 1- 9, like the Red Arrows Reds 1-9.
