Only 2 more sleeps until RAF Marham do what they said they would do..."We will release approximate timings here on Twitter and Facebook on Monday 18 February" (on page 4 above) Be still your excitable little hearts!
& YES, I'm sure the Mod's will put the details on here for the technology disinclined. ;)

Probably also worth noting that the fields at 01 end for the taxi shots are still out of bounds - DO NOT enter these areas.

Although, I do not know if this will become accessible next week for the sake of the flypasts. Let's see...
Plenty of people in them when I drove past on Thursday.

I’m interested to know timings & Route (North & Southbound) for the Scotland - Leuchars, Lossiemouth & Tain route for the 21st.
As noted above, timings will be published on Monday, but the Station Commander has confirmed on Twitter that route information will not be published. At best, I'd expect something along the lines of the information released by RAF Valley - direction of flypast over the particular location, height of flypast etc.

Its only 1 aircraft apparently.
3 specials, as the Commander said so.

Does anyone have any idea if the Tornado fly past on the 19th, 20th or 21st will fly through the Lakes on the way to or from Spadeadam or the Mach Loop on the way to or from Valley?
I was thinking about going to one or the other next week, for some low-level photography but may change it to go to one of the bases on the route instead. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I doubt it very much, seeing as LL is off the cards for the RAF still, and the GR4 flew it's last LL sortie a few weeks ago.

If anyone knows anything else, I am sure they will add on to this.

As above, no info on routes will be published, unfortunately. In addition, the Station Commander has been adamant (and remarkably patient!) in his replies to anyone asking about low level on Twitter: it won't be happening.

Thanks for your input makes my planning easier, but I think there is some low-level flying is going on. Last week traces on ADS-B suggested Hawks were going through the loop and the week before while at Coningsby I heard a pilot on my scanner discussing a route through LFA17. Thanks again for your help.

I believe there is some LL going on through the Lakes - I've seen shots of Typhoons past Dunmail Raise over the last week - but the Loop still seems to have no RAF fast jet activity, and the Tornado hasn't been seen LL since January IIRC. Bit of a shame, as it would have been nice to see it going low level right up to the end.

Loop has already been ruled out, by the Station Commander himself.

Indeed CosmonautX

He deserves a medal for replying. For anyone that does Facebook go read it....or maybe not

Last time I looked it had over 2,200 comments ranging from Can't you do the flypast at the weekend? and my personal favourites.... I would love to see them display at RIAT!

Hi again all,

Just to let you all know, the Marham Aviation Heritage Centre will be open for all 3 days of the FINale, so if you are up early and fancy a brew and chat all things Tonka and more please stop by. Remember, as in previous post there is a butty van directly opposite the centre or a Subway in the shopping centre next door to us to keep you fuelled up.

All the Best,

Marham Aviation Heritage Team
I've never been there before so just a few questions for you, are there any loos? (Missus will be in tow!). What time do you and the shops open and finally, which side of the road closure are you? From the viewing area, would I go round the west side of the airfield or the east? Many thanks.
Hi there. We and the shops are open from 0900, and yes we have toilet facilities and a few comfy chairs for a sit down and brew. The road closure is not in force now. We are located to the left of the main gate outside the wire and parking available behind the shopping complex next to us.

No times will be known until tomorrow's announcement - as has already been pointed out at least twice on this very thread.

I’m told about 1330 - but don’t expect anything official from the Station - they have nothing but contempt for the local community.

Station Commander tweeted that Thursday will be his last tornado sortie, could be an airfield beat up on return??

He also said the times for this week will be published once they've seen the weather forecast tomorrow.....
