Locations are great, and i will do one of them, but wonder if they will be just a straight through 1000ft plus fly through or dare i dream for a lower altitude?

Would be great if they did a few touch and go’s at Warton but I know that won’t happen.
Probably won’t even get a great chance to get some decent shots of them.
Should I just watch them, photograph them or film them.
Least I’ll have the chance to see them next week as I’m off work.

Re: Tornado farewell flypast February 2019
I genuinely have no idea, my guess would be a single fly past at 1k feet (Which im more than happy with). The only thing I really have to compare it to is the Vulcan farewell tour from 2015, which did a few passes at each base at various altitudes/speeds, but im not sure how it compares to this tour with timings/locations/fuel etc.Nnthusiast wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 9:23 pmLocations are great, and i will do one of them, but wonder if they will be just a straight through 1000ft plus fly through or dare i dream for a lower altitude?

Absolutely! Parking was sorted well on the 23rd Jan (I'm led to believe) so let's hope common sense prevails...Nighthawke wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 8:41 pmThere will only be chaos if people park where they please rather than where they should and not use common sense and observe the laws!
Re: Tornado farewell flypast February 2019
Re car parking and access so far the local land owners, police and MOD have been very cooperative. F-35 arrivals and Tornado farewell flights have been posted so it would seem unfair to now restrict sensible access to RAF Marham. All we can ask is politeness from the public and enthusiast alike and request the continued cooperation and consideration from the landowner for access to his land. Not wishing to start a debate about "paying" for such events but if the land owner were to ask for donations to RAF charities ? If others reading this post have contact with the local farmer then please pass on my thanks and good wishes for the access so far provided.
Re: Tornado farewell flypast February 2019
I'm getting de-ja-vu here! Number1] I thought that access to the fields/fence on 01 threshold was already 'off-limits' at the Landowner's request?
Number 2] Following the visit by the 'Boyz in Blue' at the 3x Specials flight, I quote " A boll****ng this time, tickets next time!" for anybody parking on the A1122 Swaffham Rd & causing a dangerous situation, specifically the junction of White Rd with the A1122. DO NOT seek to rely on old Highway Code information regarding "Parking 25 Yards from Junctions"...those Boyz aint minded to show any mercy!

Think the fields are still inaccessible, but the farmer eventually let people in under his control.
And I think people were instructed to park 'nose first' along the edges of white road before the junction, but to be honest, if you park illegally like you mentioned, then you deserve what you get.

Re: Tornado farewell flypast February 2019
Info on the flypast is starting to be released
https://www.facebook.com/RAFValley/Tornado GR4 Flypast - RAF Valley - 19 Feb
The current information is that the flypast will take place on Tuesday 19th February 2019, at 1350 hrs. This is subject to weather and mechanical availability - we make no guarantees - and if you are travelling any distance you should bear this in mind.
The 3-ship will cross the RAF Valley MATZ (Military Air Traffic Zone) at 500 ft, South to North.
The flypast should be visible from public land on Cymyran Beach and it's approach, and from the MOD 'Spotters' Car Park opposite our main gate. Public rights of way near the RSPB reserve should also afford good views. Car parking spaces in the Spotters Car Park are limited and we reserve the right to close the car park at any time. If you park in the spotters car park you must be in sight of your vehicle at all times or you risk having your car locked in.
We urge you NOT to cross the road near our main gate to stand on or near the RAF Valley perimeter fence. You will be on MOD land and you will be moved on. This will also put you in danger from traffic on the public highway.
We welcome responsible visitors, but be aware that we are an active military airfield and you must not stray on to MOD property.
Any updates to timings will be posted on this site. Have a safe journey, please park and act responsibly, and enjoy the flypast.

Seems that the RAF thinks that Brexit means that NI isn't part of the UK anymore.
Oh well lads, enjoy the last sounds of the Tornado for us. We had one at Belfast yesterday for missed-approaches, I guess that'll have to suffice.

Re: Tornado farewell flypast February 2019
Early start for us up here then to catch them at Lossie or Tain. Hopefully the "dip" into Tain will be down to at least 500ft - something lower one last time would be fantastic, but given the various confirmations that (for whatever reason) the Tornado is no longer going to be going LL, I doubt a final "stores check" at the range is likely! Hopefully the final flypast at Lossie will take them over the airfield and out past the lighthouse though.
