Lost binoculars at Marham

Post by slogen51 » Fri Dec 07, 2018 10:05 am

Hi I think I left a small pair of binoculars on the car roof while I was at Marham the other day

They are either in White lane or at crash gate 5

They are only small but we're quite expensive 10 years ago!

Thanks if you come across them.

I am clearly losing the plot , I put it down to the lack of numbers here lately. I will have to go down to Stansted and bash the Ryanairs when I get a new pair of bins!

You had better go and sit on Father Christmas knee and tell him what present you would like

I think in these hard times of austerity that slogen51 is trying to establish a service to help out impoverished spotters - kind of like a food bank but only supplying aviation spotting equipment.

He really needs to increase on the eligibility checks though - just leaving them in random locations seems a little over generous!

Seriously though - I hope you do get them back!

Maybe we can organise a spotters gear hunt at Marham, bit like an Easter egg hunt is my thinking .Mike can hide various pieces of equipment around the base give us a set of clues to follow and see how many of us guess right and recover his eqpt for him. At least it will keep us occupied while the RAF stay firmly routed to the ground.

Are there any Tornado GR.4As left in service? If so you could get them to zoom over & get pictures of the area as see if your Binos are anywhere.

:S
1. When do you next plan a visit?
2. What make of camera do you normally take with you?
3. Please indicate the make, model, colour and if possible, the registration mark
4. Do you offer a discount for multiple items taken at one time?
5. Have you considered visiting airfields closer to my location?

You have my sympathy, RNAS Predannack in 1996 (Total loss - over £several hundred :( ). It still rankles!

Wow! At this rate you could easily be the first person to drive home without the car? Make sure you have your mobile tethered to you with your house location entered, just in case you forget where you live! ;)

I think slogen51 needs to be a little careful with these admissions. There must be a chance that the local council will bring an action against him in court accusing him of illegal fly tipping!

If you are going to Lakenheath today, Mike, don't forget to take all your belongings home with you, enjoy.

Ho ho ho

That does remind me of when earlier in the summer PLMC135 and I were sitting in garden chairs by the lane to the egul viewing area waiting for some Coronet east to arrive. the Jets duly landed and everyone rushed off. I arrived home and realized that I had left the two chairs under the tree at Lakenheath , so went back and found the chairs untouched along with my note book and bins (which are now no longer) !
