Looking on various news feeds a F-35 has crashed just outside MCAS Beaufort hope the pilots OK

US newspapers reporting it as a VMFAT-501 aircraft, Cat A damage.

There's very little info around about this, the embargo surrounding the F35 on deck on HMS Queen Elizabeth on Friday may have had something to do with it.

I guess when they want to let the world know, they will.

As the model type is in Post 2 , I'm assuming it's the airframe code/number you want? ie:- 'Serial Required?'

Could explain why it's been quiet at Marham, and the Queen Liz twitter feed has been F35 lite of late.....

Fingers crossed this is resolved quickly.

M.O.D.have confirmed the F-35s have not been grounded contrary to reports the F-35 continues to fly from the Q E. and are monitoring the results from the Marine corps crash .
