I watched from the Shard Skydeck - floor 72. The flypast was basically at the same level and we could see the formations arriving well in advance (and the Reds smoking up Heathrow on their egress too).Indochine wrote: ↑Tue Jul 10, 2018 8:22 pmI was there too (Golden Gallery)! Certainly was a good spot. I’m sure many of those tourists had no idea what was in store...filmman wrote: ↑Tue Jul 10, 2018 7:38 pmA few of us were at the top of St Pauls, Golden Gallery, about 350ft ASL. Fantastic viewing/photographic point south of the flypast - but there was a constant queue of tourists starting from the Stone Gallery (1st exterior level) to the Golden Gallery (2nd). Queuing takes about 15 minutes and you need to find a recess in the Golden Gallery to avoid staying in the queue and having to descend. Adult admission charge to the Cathederal is £18 but there is an interesting free guided tour taking in areas previously off limits; one unsupported (canter lever) staircase appears in a Harry Potter film, amongst others.

Great to watch this once in a lifetime event from there but not so good for photography through the dirty & reflective glass.
