Hello All
Did the Victor K2 use the chute every time on landing ?

I think it was used more often than not, but I don't think anyone can say for certain that every single Victor landing in the types history involved deploying the chute. I guess it all depended on runway lengths, weights and speeds as to whether the chute was used or not?

Never used it on the last landing ever (so far!

) at Bruntingthorpe, even though that would've been a good time to do so?

Never saw one not use the 'chute in my time watching them at Marham but as Tankbuster said it probably depended on runway length etc.

Presumably Sculthorpe in 1978 when Marham's runway was being resurfaced?

Saw the chute used at Waddington arrivals for the Photo-Call there in 1990

I know the last Victor to fly used one when it landed at Shawbury.

The last Victor to fly (albeit briefly) landed at Bruntingthorpe but the chute was not used!
