As I stated there was a gathering to commorate the loss of the AAC Lynx at Tilton in 1999. http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/news/ ... 99-1075253

Apologies if answered already, but was this flight the very last of the type altogether - as in no further flying of the AH.9 from that day onwards?

I saw an AH.9 heading west at low level over Oakley (near Basingstoke) this morning. At a guess I'd say the last flying will be to ferry the remaining airframes from Odiham to Middle Wallop for disposal.

This raises a separate point - now that all UK flying examples have been retired, will the Lynx RTP line at Wallop be closed, or will they carry on to produce spares for sale to third parties?

Saw a report last week of a Lynx AH7 arriving at the FAST museum at Farnborough. So hopefully a hand full of Lynx will find safe museum locations.

IWM Duxford has had a nice AH7 example for a couple of years now.
