Snoop95 - no need to guess, the photos show the nose cone, wings, fin fillet and rudder are already painted!

All 737's appear like that on the production line; the only element that can sometimes identify the customer is the rudder which is painted to help with the balancing of the aircraft

The control surfaces will be painted before fitting to the aircraft as they have to be balanced individually. If you painted them on the aircraft you'd probably have to take them off again.

Courtesy of the Renton 737 blog, the first RAF P-8A is now on the flightline at Renton fully marked as ZP801 with 01 on nose and tail.

Strange that no mention on here that ZP801 made it’s first flight back on the 12th of July.
