They have been replaced by OP Telic, Herrick, Shader, Taurus, Deference, Ellamy, etc ......... sometimes they involve hooters going off but, on the plus side, less time in a noddy suit :-)

They still happen or at least they did up till a couple of years ago under a different guise and name, each Expeditionary Air Wing would deploy to a location within the UK, normally another base for a two week exercise before going on full scale deployment.
