Well said Mike ...
Morayshire could be a bit like Kaliningrad ... Russia's Prussian military enclave ... Morayshire could be the Establishment's military enclave ...
The fine people of Moray voted by 49.9% Leave 50.1% Remain 23,992 to 24,114 - so half of my relatives would be happy to stay out of the EU !!!

Agreed however - I suspect (based on others opinions and intentions) that the Scottish electorate have voted in the Indyref, General Election, Scottish Parliament Elections and EU membership Referendum in the same way - anti-Cameron, anti-establishment, anti-austerity, anti-being in the UKMike wrote:Eeeerrrmmmm..................that was a different referendum.................Malcy wrote:

P8s to Lossiemouth could easily be P8s to [insert name here] until the spades are in the ground for the Boeing facility

Yep, lunacy just about sums it up. But then ideology never always followed common sense now did it?!?davidn wrote:The SNP are full of wind.
Why would they look to separate from what is by far their largest trading partner? A partnership in which Scotland has a huge amount of automony and a partership which has edured for 300 years and shares a common currency, common laws, common regulations and no trade barriers, free movement of labour etc. It's lunacy.

How true!
Re: P8s to Lossiemouth(not a deployment)
Our largest trading partner was the EU, and we still brexited, so why couldn't the Scottish do the same?! I wouldn't blame them if the Scottish people wanted to!davidn wrote:The SNP are full of wind.

My levity earlier obviously didn't work as this has degenerated into the usual political gobbledygook .
Before I go I can't resist using the phrase 'pot and kettle' with regards to the shenanigans going on well south of Hadrians's wall.

Wasn't there mention that London wanted to break away from the rest of England after the EU referendum, if so what would happen to everything military as the top brass would all be in London whereas everything else would be outside??

See my recent post in the P-8 thread - never any doubt within the RAF that they'd go anywhere but Scotland - regardless of any referendums.....
