Thanks for the numbers. Just a note that i have never seen Waterloo Bridge so busy for the flypast - i go down every year to the same spot and there are usually one or two people who get out their cameras or binoculars but this year it was rammed! Perhaps the hobby is taking off...(sorry) :D

The 3 Typhoons that departed Coningsby yesterday morning were
ZK313
ZK307
ZJ949 all unmarked.
Which was the spare I don't know I'm afraid.

Cheers Paul.

I understand three Typhoon got airborne from Coningsby (two to take part in the flypast, and one reserve airacraft), also I understand also one Hawk T.1A also got airborne from Coningsby.

I was aware from the paper work an airborne reserve aircraft was allocated to Marham and Coningsby!!!, so I was not surprised that information came in on three aircraft from Marham and Congby.

AS I don't have anyone on the base who was working on Saturday, I am left with information I have received from others, so for completeness I printed them.

I understand the airspare etc

I just think the RAF could have put up a nine ship etc. OK they are committed elsewhere but this was a land mark occasion

You can say that again....especially some helicopters (4 RAF CH-47 HC-6's in rather warm places, in both sense of the word).....
