Afternoon guys,

I don't normally do this sort of thing but I feel the repercussions from the CAA announcement a few days ago from all aviation ilk whether it be enthusiasts, pilots and the general public have warranted myself to ask that if anyone reading this wants to see the CAA re-think their policy, PLEASE sign this petition.

Aviators will be attempting to see our side at the BADA symposium next week but if we can get as many signatures on this petition as we can, it *might* just make that all important difference!

As this is still in the consultation stage (until Feb 29th) perhaps it would be better to contact the CAA with your points as this is what a consultation is for? The email address for this is:

Well, several thousands of signatures are certainly a clear signal to the CAA that they had better REALLY re-think that implementation.

but I really do urge those who are eligible to sign the petition at

Perhaps you want to ask your Belgian and/or German fellow enthusiasts about their current Airshow Scene in their own country.

Yes, measures taken after Ramstein 1988 and Ostend/Oostende 1997 have made these countries rather dull "airshow wise".

There aren't that many airshows any more over there, mostly just Fly-In's.

Things are "sensitive" at the moment regarding Shoreham,
but before you know it
you've got a very restrictive airshow regime lasting for several decades...
Just ask the Germans.

EGVP. I tried the link in the petition page to the CAA w/site but it gave an error message.
There is reference here to 'chaNges' & 'chaRges'.

So I still have no idea what anyone would want to petition for or against. I was looking for clarification.

I have look on the CAA w/site for recent publications & am no nearer to a solution. Hence my question.
Please do not spend your time commenting on this post, I am sure there are more important things for you to do.

Only the CAA consultation will make the real difference, so many have signed the petition but if they all fill in the consultation then that would have a much greater effect, but seems like everyone has been brain washed to think petitions solve the problems.

Fill in the consultation is a MUST!

Those not too sure how to do this then please use the link below, enter your details, put 3.1 in the paragraph box (that refers to the charges increase in the documents up for consultation), select the only option in the drop down menu and write your views on the price increase and what impact you believe it will have the UK airshows.

Not necessarily, they can still turn around and say it's a CAA consultation, not a government one - there's nothing saying they HAVE to have a debate on the issue. Even if it was put up for debate, there's little chance of it happening before the end of this month...
