From BBC website:
The pilot of a Hawker Hunter has been pulled from the burning wreckage of his plane when it came down at the Shoreham Airshow in West Sussex.

He is said to be recovering in hospital. It is not known if anyone else has been hurt.

Oh no - more bad news on the aircraft front :(
Sounds as though the plane is a write-off. Let's hope the pilot is okay and makes a good recovery.

And that shows something most unHunter-like...

For all those who wonder why you shouldn't speculate about these things, there's your answer!

I was referring to the black smoke across the road, not that picture!

looks like a house was nearly hit.

I guess heritage flying will come under the spotlight after these two recent incidents.

That pic would seem to be of a light aircraft that BBC South has reported as crashed at Sandown. The main BBC site has now been updated to show a fireball at Shoreham. Fingers crossed for everyone involved.

That is just awful to watch, looks like it was on a junction as there are traffic lights right where the Hunter came down. The poor people in those cars :( .

Oh my god - i've just watched that linked video! At first i thought it was some sort of car park until it was pointed out about trafic lights - and when i looked again you can see the road and traffic. Those poor people. This is a dark tragic day.

Poor reporting by the BBC, quoting that the 'Hunter flew over crowds' during the display. Also the pilot is now known, but i think its a little too soon.
