Was to be expected. Still will be interesting to see the MPH The DABS and the MHA being constructed.
Fairford will still be a lot busier than it has been so that a bonus and it’s good that the hall will remain.
Will that just be bomber deployments

Should be a minimum of 4 bomber deployments per a year city42 plus the U2's.

Wait 6 months for the dust to settle. Don't be surprised if there are US defence cuts. The Democrats might be spending big on public health for fellow Citizens who don't have health insurance, etc USA politicians still think that Europe is under-spending on defence So bases may still close and forces run down - no one really knows yet A new (different) list of closures might result. Mildenhall could still shut. Meanwhile technology marches on and intelligence and delivery platforms are ever evolving. Sorry for droning on. Have a very careful Christmas and hope to see (all of) you looking over the wire.

Just want to add a couple of things to your post. First Mr Biden has said that he intends to bolster NATO and second the UK is among only 3 NATO countries to contribute 2% of its GDP to the organisation, so whilst what you say is true about most European members, we are the good guys so hopefully will be looked upon favourably by Mr B.

🦃 🌲 🦝 🦦

Perhaps now there is the opportunity to benefit from the Special Relationship that supposedly exists/has existed between the United States & the United Kingdom.

See my location

Nothing too strong to begin with, something along the lines of Puerto Rico would be a solid foundation on which we could build.

It’s no dafter than than leaving the EU not knowing what we intended to do on our own.

The term “Great Britain “ was an invention of the Scots, James 6/1 and for a short time in the 19C this country was high on the world political ‘p...g list.

If it suits American foreign policy RAF Mildenhall will remain operational, if not, it will close.

That stated, please continue posting, it gives me something to read 😎☕️🍩

Christmas greetings to all you silly COVID spreaders.

Off topic but hey ho! Here comes the snow

Our cumulative conjecture is intriguing. It seems apparent that Biden and his team, are not fans of the current English nationalist government, but BJs recent declaration of increased £s for the UK forces seeks to maintain the UKs position as top tier partners with the US.

Biden's team have mentioned strengthening NATOs eastern flank, which of course was part of the modelling which underpinned the infrastructure consolidation report which led to RAFM being slated to close in the first place.

the new administration will be more internationalist and less isolationist, but will have its hands full trying to roll out improved Public health care, covid vaccinations and trying to rebuild economic damage from these virus years. Personally I think RAFM may survive through all this, but if Biden's team get a second term ('25-'29) maybe not... a lot can and will happen in the next few years though, so who knows !!

Sounds like me and the A14 baz1. I gave up fighting the road works, deciding to wait for the opening. Along came COVID. San fairy Ann!😉

Will the ‘Heath / ‘Hall be open after vaccination? Will there be enough to go around? How many beans make five?

Life is full of surprises.
