Least favourite aircraft?
Re: Least favourite aircraft?
Not a massive fan of the Harrier either. 4 years on Lightnings, nothing else matters.
Re: Least favourite aircraft?
F-35, pig ugly and agree with all the sentiments above on the subject of what I call the flying dog turd. Very, very noisy too, LN residents won't like them

Nor will some Brandon residents either
Re: Least favourite aircraft?
You have a strange turn of phrase. Inappropriate word in your post, you might benefit from reading the Forum rules.

Just my opinion of course.

Re: Least favourite aircraft?
I got a T-shirt from a base tour in the 90's
I can't wear it in public because splashed over the back is a picture of a CH-53 and underneath in large black letters the words
"Sh#tter Crew"

Re: Least favourite aircraft?
My least favourite aircraft was the Boeing 727 almost everytime I flew on it or attempted to fly on it, it either broke down the pilot was out of hours, or it was stranded at another airfield or perhaps it was because it was Dan Air (enough said)
Re: Least favourite aircraft?
I'm still at a loss as to which word is inappropriate? Seriously.

Wildcat...I'll never be heard to say a good word about it

Re: Least favourite aircraft?

Instead of using a word which some people, perhaps most people might find "inappropriate "
(Rule 1; viewtopic.php?f=6&t=24285), why not use the Smilie,

This thread was initiated to discuss military aircraft and produced some interesting responses and then degenerated into the use of phrases not even remotely connected with the subject.
Prior to my post I had been reading
viewtopic.php?f=287&t=162769 There are FC-ers & "F, C, - ers". It is up to individuals to decide into which group they are members.
There is an edit facility for correcting typos, why not use that?
Anyone unable to identify the inappropriate word should, well, perhaps just read the sentence again.
While I'm posting, on a similar theme, there is a missing camera from John's Field. Symptomatic of the world, or what?
Oh yes, one other thing, I am pretty sure that being referred to as " flakey " isn't meant to be a compliment

That's it kiddy-winks, off you go, my apologies to those who posted in accordance with the thread theme.

Re: Least favourite aircraft?
Nicely put C24. I'm sure if one of the Admin/Mods had posted a reminder of the rules there would have been little or no response but because a non-Mod with manners and a sense of decency does it there is a problem.

1 - No swearing or offensive language/behaviour of any nature in any section of the forum.
I didn't use any offensive language or swear.
I use a derogatory term, that was all

Re: Least favourite aircraft?
I am not that keen on the civil registered grobs - I always feel robbed of a military serial when I see one.
I do collect civil but gave up civil light aircraft when those small balloons of bin bags started to be registered last century
( I think it is the turd word being objected to? I don't have a problem and anyway it's the moderators role to remind us of the rules - we don't live in Russia yet - the language is evolving and so is the way people express themselves)
