Just pondering what roll Culdrose will have for the G7 ,as it is the nearest military airfield to Carbis Bay. Looking on the Devon and Cornwall police site there doesn't appear to be any road closures or restricted access in the area. I would have thought it would be paying a key roll, especially where helicopter movements are concerned.

I am losing track of all this I must admit but I thought someone had already posted the choppers were being delivered to Culdrose in a pair of C-17?

I (totally) guess the MV-22 will be for London Brussels and Geneva?

The whole thing is mad - why does potus need so much support - can't he travel around in a S76 like the Queen or even a British Merlin etc? If something happens just elect a new president - the king is dead , long live the king.

Still , numbers in the book hopefully!

During the visit to Celtic Manor a few years ago the main party of VH helicopters operated from Fairford and the spare sat at St Athan (and typically was the one that I needed so I had to make that awful drive down the M4 lol.
It never pays to put all of your assets in one place...

“Rumour” has it that when Potus is picked up from Stansted,(although LHR has been locally mentioned,due to it’s availability re less aviation traffic!),and then flown into London,his formation of MV-22’s and helos (whatever), will reposition to Northolt until required again!. Apparently keeping them on the ground in London,is a possible security risk! As an aside,whilst I am sitting in the garden writing this the bands based at Northolt have just practised playing both the UK and USA National anthems!
