Wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if any 'farewell' involves a handful of Tonkas (assuming there are that many left) doing a 'grand tour' of bases/airfields/factories relevant to the type's RAF service, as the Lossie-based ones did for Aberdeen/Dyce and Leuchars a couple of years back.

As for one or more Tonkas being kept in flying nick for displays, I'd say there's a better chance of hearing a Gary Glitter record on the radio.:O So that's a no.

From that picture it looks to be same as the 9 Sqn jet except with Gold star. Really do push the imagination boundaries.
