people generally use the lane near the south-west corner which links the A17 and B6403.
Is that Byrds Leap? They do a nice brekkie there, but the junction's very blind & dangerous, especially if you're turning right (towards Sleaford). One place that could definitely do with lights.
No. Byards Leap seems on Google to be on the A17/B6403 junction. Having used the lane though, I have preferred to return south on the B6403 rather than turn right onto the A17.

Any information on aircraft types, timings, where they are forming up etc? I've been looking and haven't seen anything other than a NOTAM for the Red Arrows. For similar events recently RAF Benson has been used for the form up of the rotary elements, but again all quiet.

No the RAF hasn't released anything other than the D-Day Typhoon is using the callsign Memorial in place of the BBMF who are not flying yet.

As for timings I would have thought same as every year, running in from Southwold aiming for BP at 1pm and thereafter

The time over the Palace is 1300L to start, with the Reds the last over at 1306.

The original plan was for 35 aircraft to be in the Flypast, with the rotary element just being a Puma and two Chinooks. As is the norm for Birthday Flypasts, it's just the RAF that participate.

Not sure what the final number will be with no BBMF, but the practice last week should give a fairly good idea. The Reds are departing and returning to Waddington after, as is the RJ. The P8 is expected back at Waddington after the Flypast on a short stop. Presumably the Texans and Hawk T2s will forward deploy to Cranwell and Coningsby respectively.

Any idea how many Typhoons in the Flypast? I understand three typhoons will stand in respect for the BBMF

Thinking of heading to Northolt on Saturday as I could be in the area - still hoping for ZK426

I believe its 7/8 Typhoons in the flypast, potentially with a couple of air spares.

The three (or four?) for BBMF, then 2 with the Rj and P8.

Looking on ADSBExchange it appears that things are starting to form up with RC-135 ZZ666, C-17 ZZ175 and Voyager ZZ336 on holding over the North Sea East of Great Yarmouth.

I'm also guessing that Phenom ZM333 and Texan ZM327 are joining them as they are heading in that direction.
