I was sharing rather than validating the poster’s comments- although the USAF community see RR as non-US but have no issue with the RR engines already in their aircraft.

Indeed, it's worth remembering that virtually the same RR engine is already in USAF service, powering the C-37 Gulfstream V and E-11 Global Express derivative types.
