I am sure there will be photographers visiting daily to get the first snap of 'Boris 1' when it is rolled out, in a Union Jack inspired paint scheme according to the Guardian.

I would be if I lived closer!

Oh the political bias! I won’t hold my breath for the grauniad reporting that the government pumps £100,000 into the economy by commissioning Marshalls to repaint her.

Adding to the pointlessness of the posts,

what about nose art? My scheme would be a chubby lass in ballet shoes and pink tutu and the slogan (sorry mod1) of

"Dancing Doris"

I won't click on daily Fail links but knowing them any picture will be made up anyway with no offical source.

Just had a peek. Quite shocking. Hope the Mail has it wrong. It looks more like a scheme suitable for the POST OFFICE or is it going to be support for the Red Arrows

I agree every time I see an RAF jet it's in that dull grey colour, not like the airforce of the 70's!!

Agreed far to much grey these days

The daily mail picture is a bit extreme - looks like a an old GreenAir? A330.

To be fair to the Mail they did quote a 'Defence Source' who said the scheme would be understated.

I like the French VIP A330 Cotam01

I know it's the toilet paper that is the daily mail, so expectations aren't high, but hey it "could" look like anything, so a non-story, but not this that seems to be a primary school photo editing effort. For the same reason the BA retro BEA A319 couldn't have the red wing upper surfaces amongst other things due to heat tolerances on the composite wing structure, this 330 based aircraft would be the same (look at the slats).

Apparently the cost will be £900,000 for the paint job, from Evening Standard.. :Wow:
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

What a joke, with the country struggling as much as it is, they're going to waste our tax money on painting one jet because he doesn't like grey :grr: :grr:
