Re: Tornado farewell flypast February 2019
I think it might be a 2 ship now. Saw three take off from Marham, and coming home past Stowbridge I saw a lone Tonka heading back to Marham.

There's no "go-round" in a glider.

Guess that may have been Tornado 4 or 5 that were playing about over Norfolk as there are images of 3 together from Staffs etc doing the rounds on Twitter?

I was at Donna Nook and they were bang on time 15.19 straight after Coningsby, and turned right onto south after crossing the range direct to Holbeach

Re: Tornado farewell flypast February 2019
Who said that we struggled to get three a/c?
In fact quite the opposite, 5 were launched at the same time, 3 for the flypast, 2 others airborne for a local sortie
134 had to be repaired today to hopefully allow it to participate on Wednesday or Thursday. .

Fingers crossed 134 and 129 will be able to make it north of the border with 084 on Thursday. Given what seemed to be fairly mucky weather for refuelling, I think all involved did well for the first day and it hopefully bodes well for the next two flypasts.

Sorry to be so stupid....
Is runway 01 the new one?
Also, can you get in the field at the end of the new one (as in the field we went in to watch the f35s come in)

Re: Tornado farewell flypast February 2019
Hello,
I apologize for my bad English and maybe stupid question.
The fly-by of the 9 planes scheduled for February 28th will be only in Cranwell or even in Marham?
Before leaving Italy I would like to be sure of where to go!
Thanks
Alex
