Waddington Rehearsal

Post by Airspeed » Thu Jun 11, 2015 5:53 pm

Guys,

Am I going mad or is it just my age? I love the photographs that you guys post, so after hearing about the rehearsal at RAF Waddington I fully expected to find lots of glorious pictures to enjoy, but so far haven't found a single one!

Hope you can help an aged military aviation fan. A clue to my age is that I sat in the Phantom simulator at RAF Coningsby in the late 60's 'cos my Dad was friends with a Wing Commander at the base.

Many Thanks.

They used Cranwell as the practice airfield this year, although some of the bigger stuff did turn and then run in over Waddo and out over Lincoln before dispersing it was a bit dull to be honest

Thanks Tim.....
I was listening to Radio Lincoln last week and one of their commentators was reporting from 'The Wave', which I know to be the car park across the road from Waddington's runway. She was talking to an enthusiast, who was describing the different aircraft types flying over RAF Waddington, as a rehearsal for today's events in London. Now you've explained it I understand the lack of Photos.....
