Sad news indeed. Thoughts to all involved in this tragic time.

Totally agree - BBC Scotland's reporting last night was uninformed bile about something they clearly have very little knowledge about. In the direct aftermath of a clearly serious incident with a high probability of loss of life, the BBC reporter decided to home in on the precautionary measure to ground the Lossiemouth fleet, suggesting the incident could have been safety related to the GR4 airframe. Why they just don't stick to the facts, as known at the time, and stop this Daily Mail type reporting is beyond me. It just fuels the uninformed with further nonsense to perpetuate on internet forums. If your blood pressure can stand it, just read some of the inane comments on the Daily Mail article for the accident. I'll not grace it by providing a link - you'll be able to sniff out the cr@p for yourselves, if you really feel the need.mrlongbow wrote:Very sad news indeed. But why oh why does the BBC ALWAYS have to give it the "safety" "old planes" etc routine. Whether true or not they can never ever just say there has been an accident. All they do is set of the dic*heads who know next to nothing about the military. Like the ones i heard talking last night whilst i was out and about. "this shows low level flying isnt worth it" crap like this. Seriously gets me annoyed. Gobbing off before the FULL facts are known. This is a very sad thing to happen but i feel the BBC never helps...![]()
One annoyed person.
