First flight April 29th?

Post by P-3K » Sun Apr 29, 2012 6:50 pm

For a project I'm considering can anybody advise of any aircraft which had a first flight of 29th April, any year?

A search on the internetm'bob has proved inconclusive at best so hopefully someone can come up with something.........

I have an Aviation Calendar for 2010 there is a photo of what looks like a Saab 105 caption for 29th, April is First Flight 29th, April, 1967. hope this helps.

I wondered why the calendar was so inexpensive, I bow to GOOSE'S Superior knowledge.

Thanks for the replies chaps. yes I have teh SAAB 105 as 29th June as well.

Further digging has thrown up the following:

B747-400 as 29/04/88
Polikarpov I-5 29/04/30
Cessna CitationJet CJ4 29/04/91
Embraer Phenom 300 29/04/08

The ide was to build a model of an aircraft that first flew on the birth date of a newborn child, so unless I can come up with anything else, the B744 could be the most likely candidate.

Any other suggestions most welcome.
