I've just finished re-reading 'When Thunder Rolled' and 'Palace Cobra' by Ed Rasimus. Excellent books about F-105 and F-4 ops in Vietnam respectively, highly recommended first hand accounts of the war and an insight into the workings of the USAF at the time. Wondering what to read next.

This was one of the best books I've read about fighter ops in Vietnam

This is probably the best I've read about recent ops

Sled Driver is my favourite book about the SR-71, and probably my favourite book ever...

Just finished Joint Force Harrier by Commander Ade Orchard RN and now started on F4 Phanton - A Pilot's Story by Robert Prest RAF.
Both excellent reads IMHO.

That Robert Prest book is indeed excellent, as is Sigh For A Merlin mentioned above.

As today is 30th March, very appropriate to mention "The Nuremburg Raid" Martin Middlebrook. Well worth a read...

Got Robert Prest's book for £2.99 on eBay last week. Bargain. :D
Been a very long time since I read Sigh For A Merlin but I agree that it's a very good read.
Read Bomber Boys a few weeks ago, that's top notch too.
