RAF at the Dubai Air Show

Post by GOOSE » Fri Nov 27, 2009 7:39 am

A Royal Air Force Typhoon aircraft has made its first appearance at the Dubai Air Show, spearheading the UK’s cutting edge technology in the defence and security sectors.

The UK delegation was led by Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton, Chief of the Air Staff of the Royal Air Force, and Mr Richard Paniguian, Head of the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI)’s Defence and Security Organisation. The UKTI is the government organisation that helps UK-based companies succeed in international markets and targets high quality inward investment for the UK.

Dsiplay was awful, high and boring, plus they never showed up on Weds or Thursday either!

F15, F16, Rafale and A380 all performed tighter, better, and more interesting routines and they were somewhere near the airport!

I hear they are are getting their butts kicked at AWC out here as well!

God bless Her Maj's finest! :P

Sounds about right...
The RAF jet teams seem to do this more and more now....display away from the crowd and higher up... or if you're at Yeovilton, not even display at all.

Shall wait for the next Rafale display as that was by far 100% better than anything the RAF put on this year.... in fact it was the best Fast Jet display i have seen.
