398 Sqn Egham & Staines, though have to say I didn't last long there, as I was not inclined to dicipline, still remember going up in a Chippie from Abingdon, I really do need to find that blue book they gave you that will have details of that flight written in it.

I was at 1244 Swindon between 1996 and 1999
Annual camps at Coningsby and Feltwell
Plenty of airshows attended Fairford, Lyneham, Cottesmore, Mildenhall, Kemble
I was a member of the Air Rec team that represented the Wilts and Dorset Wing which was a great achievement
Flights in Bulldogs, Gliders, Hercules and a VC10 over the Bristol Channel refuelling Tornadoes and a couple of Super Etendards
Loads of fond memories including when we helped out at Kemble Airshow 96 - we were camping on the airfield near the control tower and near the end of the show we went to pack up and the Red Arrows were displaying right over us - Health and safety would of had a field day with us. I lost my camera but someone handed it in to the commentary box - went to collect it and met the legend Sean Mauffet - didnt twig it was him till I walked out of there

Brentwood School CCF in the seventies. AEF chipmunks at Cambridge and gliding in Sedburgh at Debden. Most ‘flying’ though in a Slingsby Grasshopper on the school field - assembled at lunchtime by a bunch of teenagers and ‘launched’ by the same by means of rubber bands and the school tractor. Did someone mention Health & Safety?
