Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows what font they use for the RAF serials/tail markings/canopy names? Or anything that looks similar.
Thanks in advance!
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

Re: RAF Fonts
Have you asked on any of the modelling forums?
Re: RAF Fonts
I can’t answer this question myself but.
When I was younger our local model shop was a mine of information.
https://www.hannants.co.uk/
They’re still in business.
There used to be a guy there who was THE expert on aircraft serials and squadron markings, no idea if he’s still there or retired but I’m sure they could answer any specific questions you have.
Disclaimer, I was never much of a modeller but some of my mates were completely obsessed by this kind of detail.

Re: RAF Fonts
A lot depends on the era, there was an AP running to more than 100 pages that covered a very diverse topic on markings and paint specs - the electronic version in the NAM Archive has a file size of around 150 MB - it started with details from the late 1950s and ran for several decades.

Thank you all for the responses. I will try tommc's recommendation
If you leave everything to the last minute, it only takes a minute to do.
