RAF 32SQ Northolt

Post by OldSpotter52 » Mon Feb 24, 2025 10:34 am

Wondering whats happened as they don't currently have any aircraft.

G-ZABH left Northolt 3/2 as RRR1310 to Nuremberg. AirNav Radar showed it returning the same day but it didn't depart Nuremberg. Finally left 7/2 as CLF218A to Paris Le Bourget where it appeared to park by Dassault Falcon Service. AirNav had it returning to Northolt 20/2 as CLF801A but it did a round trip to Valencia instead parking by Dassaults on return.

G-ZAHS departed Northolt 17/2 as CLF758A to Le Bourget also parking by Dassaults.

With B flight ceasing to exist in December with the end of the AW109 contract now seems A flight is at least temporarily absent too.

Final conversion to full military spec prior to transfer to UK military serials? They were delivered in mid 2022 and were supposed to be used by mixed civilian and military crews for the first 2 years, then fully by the RAF crews.

Centreline had their contract to operate them extended to September 2026. Transition to full military registration/operated service is expected from July 2026.

Hi, G-ZABH actually stopped flying on 20-11-24 and was apparently “under maintenance” until it flew again on 20-01-25. Done a few round trips, one to the Middle East, before routing to Nuremberg on 03-02 , then everything as you have posted! Wondered myself if it was having the “military upgrade” as both have started showing on Adsb military filter, but as others have posted, those upgrades are not scheduled yet!
As a sort of bonus C-17 ZZ171 was due into Northolt this evening from Ramstein, presumably operating on behalf of 32sqn…..Unfortunately it went tech and returned to Brize under 7700 squawk! A400M ZM417 departed Northolt to Helsinki this afternoon, also rumoured to be operating on behalf of 32Sqn

The military filter is a list of ICAO addresses created by the website owners. You could put quite literally anything in it, it has nothing at all to do with the aircraft, its capabilities, fit-out, or anything outside of a guy and a Notepad file.

Noted G-ZABH's absence over the new year.

Was wondering why nothing appeared to be doing 32SQ flights. You offer a possible explanation, ZM417 was also in last Wednesday/Thursday.

Cranwell Phenoms have previously appeared.

As I understand it, the planned C-17 visit to Northolt was not to cover a 32sq Envoy.

Just passed on approach to Northolt 07.

It did a round trip Le Bourget to Valencia on Wednesday as G-ZABH did on the 20th.

Both Envoys are now back at Northolt.

G-ZABH arrived from Le Bourget on Friday evening(18/4), last at Northolt 3/2. G-ZAHS departed to Le Bourget again 18/3 returning 11/4 but hasn't flown since.

Tracking from adsb.
