Didn’t know where else to put this

Are there any full VC10s and TriStars left or are they all scrapped now?

TIA

I believe ZA148 is due to be scrapped at Newquay soon too.
Is ZA150 still intact at Dunsfold ?

That’s a shame, any tristars preserved anywhere? I know Dunsfold has a VC10

Seems a real waste when both the Dunsfold & Bruntingthorpe jets were 'runners' & still had a heartbeat. You never miss what you had 'til it's gone!

Three still fully intact and on view in the UK - XR808 'Bob' at Cosford plus two civilian ones at Brooklands and Duxford.

Are these all VC 10s? If so then the question is are there any preserved Tristars in the UK?

Scramble has all as being Scrapped.

https://scramble.nl/database/military/uk#results

Demobbed has ZD948 as Scrapped but "Flight Deck" saved

Thanks for that.
So sad that they didn't preserve a single Tristar!

They were just too large - too big to keep under cover and too much maintenance if left outside.
Look on the bright side however - in 50 years time there will be lots of drones under cover in museums, or even in my garage!

Is ZA150 still intact at Dunsfold,
In answer to your question Rick.
It certainly is, I drove past on Sunday 24th,
Easily visible from the A281 roadworks.

Is Stargazer still airworthy or has that been grounded too?

VC-10's only one RAF example XR808 is at Cosford and then G-ASGC at Duxford and A40-AB at Brooklands.

According to Flightaware.com it flew KSBD/San Bernardino, CA to KMHV/Mojave, CA in July.

It is A4O-AB (Oscar), NOT A40-AB (Zero).

I went by on Oct 5th and ZA150 appears to have been moved down to the far end by the ex BA747. Previously it seemed much closer on a spot nearer to the new road works, Northside

That sounds hopeful then?
