Herc

Post by Crusty » Fri Aug 25, 2023 12:13 pm

Yesterday (24/08/23) about 10:30 saw a Herc low level heading up the valley from Abergavenny in the direction of crickhowell, was behind trees so only had a quick glimpse and couldnt make out markings or even colour.
I've never seen American Hercs down this way so are we still running a couple?

Certainly not an RAF one, possibly this one out of Mildenhall but your time of 10.30 doesn't quite match :- viewtopic.php?f=8&t=235681

Mildenhall MC-130J 20-5941 went through just after 11am according to FR24.

They're reasonably regular down this way

Yes it was Strix, routed over Llangorse lake near Brecon northwest bound . They are quite common in the Usk valley
