Biden "mini" state visit

Post by Reach 392 » Tue Jun 27, 2023 3:18 pm

Quite a low profile visit, but President Biden is due to be in the UK/London very early July before the NATO Summit in Vilnius. He is expected to meet King Charles III & Rishi Sunak among other engagements.

Assuming everything is still going to plan we can expect a flurry of RCH flights into Northolt/Mildenhall/Fairford/Wherever from next week. :)

Stansted is also expected to be busy. Indeed a couple of USAF C-17's are expected there tomorrow lunchtime which may be connected with the visit.

RCH4127 (10-0215) & RCH4555 (02-1107) heading NE out of Andrews. Most likely connected - possibly UK bound or Lithuania for NATO conference

To save reading through the link the NATO Heads of State summit is 11-12 July which would suggest a UK visit on 10 or 11 July

6 Chinooks over Poland heading west. Unusual for a Saturday. Maybe these are heading to the UK?

Around 9/10th July meeting King Charles III in a 24hr stop-off before heading to N.A.T.O. summit in Lithuania starting 11-12 July
Possible
STN night arrival and morning departure, staying at Winfield House, Regent Park, usual helicopters and transport aircraft, with practice chopper run early next week

either

1) Departs the US on the 9th morning and arrives in the UK in the evening, he stays at the Embassy Sunday evening and meets the king on Monday 10th and then either leaves the UK the same day or the Tuesday 11th Morning.

or

2) Departs the US on the evening of the 9th arriving in the UK on the morning of the 10th and goes straight to Windsor. Then either leaves the UK the same day or the Tuesday 11th Morning.

Sleepy Joe does not really like the Brits but has to follow through with the "special relationship"

Hi all,
Quick question. Does anyone know where the helicopters would land at Windsor Castle? TIA
Mike
