Vulcan Road-runner

Post by gulfdave » Thu Dec 08, 2022 5:45 pm

Much to my surprise, I was passed by an outsized load convoy carrying a Vulcan nose section westbound on the A142 between Ely & Chatteris, Cambs this afternoon around 1530. Most grateful if anybody has a clue as to what it might have been and where it was travelling to.

Looks like it was on its way to IWM Duxford along with a Victor cockpit too.

Don't know about the Vulcan nose but the Victor/Valiant nose sections were delivered to Duxford this morning.

Yes, just looked again at the photo and actually read the text and it’s a Valiant and Victor. I think the Vulcan nose from the collection has gone elsewheee?

My understanding is that the Vulcan cockpit has gone to the South Wales collection.
