Correct, and it won’t be two full Sqns but a standard deployable unit of 8, 10 or maybe 12 jets from each Sqn.

I’ve an even more sensible reply the ONLY base these F-35s will go (if they indeed appear!) is LN. End of. LN is the only base capable of supporting these jets in the UK for a deployment of any length of time.

It says, the two squadrons are the existing 493rd and 495th, as many had predicted. Depressingly it claims that the 493rd will gain it's aircraft "over the next few years".
