The deal was released earlier in the year, but yesterday/today Draken signed a contract for purchase of a number of Dutch F-16's and equipment..... interesting development which may be of relevance

edit:

Drive article in the summer about it
https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/4 ... ghter-jets
The article, and other information, seems to point to these being used on the US contracts, time will tell!
Apologies, that it does, I should have clarified even more so.

The announcement I saw was on linkedin from both Draken US and Draken Europe, with the latter saying,
Great news from our colleagues at Draken US - the purchase of F-16s from the Dutch MOD represents the latest move in our company's continual investment in modernisation of our operational readiness training fleet. Why? Simple... To ensure that our customers internationally are better prepared to prevail! #training #investment #aviation #defence

As you said, time will tell

With credit to DTV Movements

" Draken are planning on supplementing the based Falcon fleet with 4x Aero L-159E ALCAs. They are Czech-built fast jets that look very similar to a Hawk. Draken exclusively operate the "E" model, which is the export version of the single-seat "A" model. ALCA stands for Advanced Light Combat Aircraft "

If the above has always been in Drakens plans or is something that's come off the UK's Adversary Jet request, is unknown.

There’s a job vacancy advertised on the Draken website for a L-159 Captain based at Teesside so that would add credence to that story.

How many airworthy Hunters knocking about?

A unit of ex-RNoAF F-16s in adversary camo based at Leeming would be very nice! Probably be a few puddle jumpers with barely credible capabilities and painted more like flying club aircraft though.
